Selwyn Bureau is seeking Kitchen Assistants to join our team on a casual basis to work at Selwyn Retirement Villages located in Hamilton and Cambridge in the Waikato.

If you are looking for some extra shifts or would like to work according to your availability, then look no further! We have various shifts available during weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary from AM, and PM shifts and you choose what shifts you want to work. Ideally flexibility with shifts is desirable.

We have two facilities in the Waikato region: Selwyn Wilson Carlile (Hamilton) and Selwyn St Andrews (Cambridge).

In this role you will be assisting with kitchen duties, preparation of nutritious meals and meticulous clean up after service in compliance with all Food & Hygiene regulations.

Key requirements across the role:

  • Have previous experience within a similar role
  • Hold a Food Safety Certificate
  • Front of House café and Barista skills/experience would be advantageous
  • Be flexible and work independently
  • Hold a full driver's license
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Be customer focused with a friendly personality
