Night Care Partner (Caregiver) / Housekeeper - Part time - Cambridge

We are seeking a passionate Night Care Partner/Housekeeper to join the friendly team at Selwyn St Andrews Retirement Village in Cambridge, working in our Hospital & Resthome level care facility. We currently have a part time vacancy available working 22.5 hrs/wk: Sunday to Tuesday 11 PM - 7 AM

About the role:

In this unique combination role you will be responsible for providing residents with safe care and daily support in accordance with individual care plans, ensuring their needs are met with patience, understanding, dignity and respect. Your tasks will cover:

  • Personal hygiene care and assisting at meal times as applicable
  • Cleaning the lobby, public areas and staff toilets
  • After hours dishwashing and cleaning in the café area
  • Cleaning and maintenance of empty resident suites

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • NZ caregiving experience ideally in aged care. Cleaning experience would be advantageous
  • Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
  • Ideally have Level 3 or 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • An outgoing personality with a positive attitude
  • Empathetic and caring nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others
