House Supervisor - Selwyn House, Birkenhead

Selwyn House, part of the trusted Selwyn Village Ltd, is seeking a House Supervisor for our Birkenhead home. This is a weekend-only, part-time position supporting elderly residents in a warm, shared-living environment. You'll be backed by the wider Selwyn Village team and resources, ensuring you can focus on what matters most — care, comfort, and connection.

The role:

  • Permanent part-time, weekends only
  • Saturday & Sunday, 2:00pm - 7:30pm (10 hrs total per week)
  • Supporting residents with meal planning and cooking nutritious meals
  • Organising weekly shopping and light housekeeping in communal areas
  • Encouraging wellbeing and independence through social and recreational activities

What we're looking for:

  • Confident cooking skills
  • A full, clean driver's licence
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive, caring nature
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Aged care experience or a relevant qualification would be an advantage

About Selwyn House:

Nestled in a quiet Birkenhead street with beautiful gardens, Selwyn House provides subsidised shared living for up to 11 residents aged 70+. It's a close-knit, welcoming community where residents are supported to live as independently as possible.
