House Lead / Care Partner (dual role) - Selwyn Village

We're seeking an experienced care professional to step into a dual role — 3 days as a House Lead and 2 days as a Care Partner, supporting residents and guiding a self-led household team.

House Lead: Saturday 0645-1515, Sunday 0645-1515, Monday 1445-2315
Care Partner: Tuesday 1500-2300, Wednesday 1500-2130

This role suits someone who is confident in hands-on care and ready to take on leadership responsibility while remaining closely connected to residents.

About the role

  • House Lead: Support and coach Care Partners, coordinate household activities and rosters, manage unplanned leave, and help ensure the household runs smoothly day to day.
  • Care Partner: Provide person-centred care supporting residents' daily living, wellbeing and independence, including personal care, activities, meals, housekeeping and medication support.
  • Work closely with residents, families and the wider clinical and village teams in line with The Selwyn Way.

About you

  • NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 4) - required
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in aged care - required
  • Eligibility to work in NZ permanently - required
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Confident with care documentation and IT systems
  • Calm, organised and able to support others effectively
  • Passionate about resident-centred care
  • Able to commit to the shifts advertised
