Care Partners - Selwyn Village

We offer fixed shifts across a range of patterns, along with a competitive hourly rate of $28.63 - $31.08 plus applicable allowances, giving you stability, certainty and work-life balance.

Please note - all of our current vacancies include Saturday and Sunday, therefore please do not apply if you are not available to work both of those days.

About the role

As a Care Partner, you will provide high-quality personal care and daily living support to residents in line with individual care plans and Selwyn Village values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with personal care (e.g. showering, dressing, toileting and mobility)
  • Supporting residents with meals, hydration and daily routines
  • Observing, reporting and recording changes in residents' condition or wellbeing
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and respectful environment
  • Working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the wider care team
  • Following all policies, procedures, infection control and health & safety requirements

About you

You will be:

  • Compassionate, patient and respectful
  • Reliable and able to work fixed shifts as rostered
  • Comfortable working in an aged care environment
  • A strong communicator with residents, families and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years New Zealand Caregiving experience in an aged care environment
  • Experience working in a dementia unit or supporting residents living with dementia
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing - Level 2-4)
  • Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
  • Basic computer skills for documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role
