About the role

As a Housekeeper, you'll help create clean, calm, and uplifting spaces where our residents can thrive. This is meaningful work — every task you complete helps someone feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Guided by The Selwyn Way — Spirituality, Growth, Contentment, Belonging, Resilience — you'll work closely with residents and our care teams to ensure each household feels like home.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting households with daily cleaning to a high standard
• Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and toilets
• Removing rubbish and keeping shared spaces tidy
• Delivering household linen and residents' clothing
• Completing scheduled site‑wide cleaning tasks
• Maintaining safe infection‑control practices
• Using cleaning equipment safely and ensuring products are stored correctly
• Communicating warmly, respectfully, and professionally with residents and colleagues

About you

You'll be someone who brings heart to your work as much as skill. You enjoy creating order, bringing shine to a space, and supporting others to live well.

We're looking for someone with:

• Housekeeping or cleaning experience (a Level 2 cleaning qualification is a bonus)
• A friendly communication style and a calm presence
• Strong attention to detail
• Eligibility to work in NZ permanently
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
• Good physical fitness for an active role
• A genuine desire to serve and support older adults
